The 2024 MIAA Basketball Championships Return to UMBC’s Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena on February 24

Triple-Header to feature the A, B and C Conference Championships

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Blackbyrd Events, event operator for the 2024 MIAA Basketball Championships, in partnership with the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA), announced the triple-header event will return to UMBC’s Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena on Saturday, February 24th in Baltimore, MD.


Tickets to attend the event will be available for pre-sale on January 22nd and will grant access to all three championship conference games that day.


Championship Schedule

B Conference: 4:00PM

A Conference: 6:00PM

C Conference: 8:00PM


The team behind Blackbyrd Events will be operating the Championships for the third year – with this year’s event occurring on Saturday evening. “Championship day at CEI Arena last February was electric and we look forward to a bigger and better day of action for players and fans alike,” said Mark Burdett, Owner and Principal of Blackbyrd.


In addition to General Admission and Student-discounted tickets with valid Student ID, a limited number of Courtside Seats will be available, inches from the action. These VIP seats sold out quickly last season and fans are encouraged to purchase early, starting January 22nd.

All three championship games will be livestreamed on Blackbyrd Events YouTube, and ForTheFan Network.

Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena is located on the campus of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. The 5,000-seat arena is the home to the UMBC Retriever Men’s and Women’s basketball teams and Women’s volleyball.
